Human Rights Council

The Human Rights Council is responsible for promoting and protecting fundamental rights worldwide. This committee will challenge delegates to address complex and often controversial issues where human rights intersect with national policy and security. Diplomacy, sensitivity, and a strong understanding of international law are essential. This Committee shall also entertain a dual delegation system. Prompting delegates to collaborate in pairs. This structure encourages continuous cooperation, negotiation, and diplomatic coordination, reflecting the importance of joint decision-making in international human rights discussions.

Key Issues

-The legitimacy of government-imposed internet shutdowns in maintaining national security.

-The use of predictive policing and AI in law enforcement: Security vs. Discrimination.
